A Hard Pill to Swallow

I told him there’s gotta be someone,
out there for everyone.
That much I know’s true.

He just laughed,
and said…
Well honey I didn’t believe this.
That was until I met you.

Three days passed,
until he told her the news.
He put her name inside his will.

She just cried,
he said…
Honey, dry your eyes.
Cuz all I thought about was you.

Though that was a hard pill for her to swallow,
His words never left her feelin hollow.
