"Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind." -Bertrand Russel

“Every heart sings a song, incomplete, until another heart whispers back. Those who wish to sing always find a song. At the touch of a lover, everyone becomes a poet.”
― Plato

You claim to know what I don't show,
But in reality there's no truth you really know.
You ask, I tell.
And you blindly devour every word put before you.
No questions asked,
No doubt in your mind that I could just be feeding your curiosity
Instead of letting you know the truth

Claims of a functioning heart
Leads me to wonder how much you really care.
[Be]cause I'm always left in the dust
And all you ever do is stop and stare.
You believe I'm fine
And that everything is okay
But this smile is archaic.

Con cada chivo expiatorio que hago
You continue to believe.
I wish you'd realize that sometimes
I want you to doubt me.
I want you to pester me or at least act as though you're concerned.
Sometimes we all just need someone to annoy us
To know that we're loved by someone.

Ask again to really know the truth.
This smile is archaic.

This song I wrote abut my friendship. I feel my best friend and I are drifting apart. I feel like she doesn't know me like she has claimed to know me. And I'm beginning to wonder whether or not I know her..
