I learned that things change, people change, and it doesn't mean you forget the past or try to cover it up.
It simply means that you move on and treasure the memories.

You've slipped away from me

You were the only thing I could see

But now I'm forced to open my eyes

Even though I wish it were lies

Why did he have to die?

Paint me a pretty picture

Take it away

Make me think: Do I really want to stay?

Just paint me a picture

The haunting kind

Make me really think

Am I losing what's left of my mind?

Paint me a picture, then take it away

Why should I stay?

I'm fading away

The memories of us are nowhere to be found

Can't hear your voice, that sweet sorrowful sound

And I'm falling apart, what happened to my heart?

My soul has gone cold

Paint me a pretty picture

Take it away

Make me think: Do I really want to stay?

Just paint me a picture

The haunting kind

Make me really think

Am I losing what's left of my mind?

Paint me a picture, then take it away

Why should I stay?

I'm fading away

But now I see

I've got it all figured out

I have to stay strong

You'd want me to let go of my doubts

I'll never forget your face as long as you remember me

I know deep down that you'll be watching over me

For now, this our final goodbye

But promise you'll still love me

Even from the sky?

After hearing of a few situations like this, this poem has become close to my heart.
It's my tribute to anyone who has gone through a situation like this. <3
