You claim to know what it is like
For me to be alone
Where the silence in my head
Steals all the truth I've ever known
And when they say they understand
I know that smile's fake
I know that they don't really care
That I'm about to break

A soul so long ago brand new
Cries out in desperate need
I watch as all the pain seeps
Each time I cry and scream
For this is now the only way
To save my sanity
And seek some serenity

Often I have wondered how
I know it's time to die
And wonder why I feel vacant
And why I still can't cry
And when they say they understand
I know that smile's fake
I know that they don't really care
That I'm about to break

A soul so long ago brand new
Cries out in desperate need
I watch as all the pain seeps
Each time I cry and scream
For this is now the only way
To save my sanity
And seek some serenity

I sit here reminiscing now
The past is all I know
And now I realize that I will
Have to let it go
And when they say they understand
I know that smiles fake
I know that they don't really care
That I've begun to break

A soul so long ago brand new
Cries out in desperate need
I watch as all the pain seeps
Each time I cry and scream
For this is now the only way
To save my sanity
And seek some serenity

I'm crying out for you
I never thought that you would leave
Because without you I cannot breath
