A deafening silence,
Oh the irony.
My heart I gave to you to take
but it sure as hell wasn't yours to break.
Pain, pain, pain,
An aching in my chest.
A piece of my heart was stolen,
never to get back again.
And yet you still want to call me a friend.
Like nothing ever happened between us.

Every day my heart breaks a little more inside.
First just a crush, just a text goodnight.
Then a kiss on the lips,
Oh it felt so right.
Thought we'd be together,
last forever,
don't know if I'll ever have my heart whole again.

The days go by and the minutes pass slow,
but try as I might I just can't let you go.
You fill my thoughts and hopes and heart.
Thinking, dreaming, wishing, wondering.
What if? How come? Why me? What now?
I can't get you back,
you don't want me anyhow.
Maybe someday I'll see where we went wrong,
but for now let me sing my silly little love song.

Every day my heart breaks a little more inside.
First just a crush, just a text goodnight.
Then a kiss on the lips,
Oh it felt so right.
Thought we'd be together,
last forever,
don't know if I'll ever have my heart whole again.

A deafening silence,
oh the irony.
Void of song and love and laughter.
Guess not everyone gets a happy ever after.
But still I'll be strong,
and in time I'll move on.
My heart will heal, my mind will rest,
and I'll find someone better.

Every day my heart breaks a little more inside.
First just a crush, just a text goodnight.
Then a kiss on the lips,
Oh it felt so right.
Thought we'd be together,
last forever,
don't know if I'll ever have my heart whole again.
Every day my heart breaks a little more inside.
First just a crush, just a text goodnight.
Then a kiss on the lips,
Oh it felt so right.
Thought we'd be together,
last forever,
don't know if I'll ever have my heart whole again.
This one's for you, my first heart-breaker...
