Whiskey Battle

She was never much of a drinker until the bottle became
her lovers best friend.
He promised her he would never take another sip again
There wasn't nothing more she could do
When passed away
with a flask
in his right hand

COURSE:
[From the start
they wore Carhartt, and brown leather boots,
He drank his whiskey while
she hid the booze
She died inside for years as the alcohol tore her lovers life apart
As he fought a whiskey battle]

The young country girl
Snuck around from mom and daddy  all to be with a boy who lived out west
Though it wasn't long until that young boys life was gone
Cause there was no better way
Than to spend every other day
sipping Buffalo Trace, some Jameson, and good ol' Tullamore Dew
A bottle or 2
Just enough to get drunk
In the afternoon
Oh but drinkin whiskey in the middle of the day was somethin he had to do.

COURSE:
[From the start
they wore Carhartt, and brown leather boots,
He drank his whiskey while
she hid the booze
She died inside for years as the alcohol tore her lovers life apart
As he fought a whiskey battle]

He dunno how to move on other way than
To drink his life away; she lived on to say she was madly in love with a cowboy whose life was struggling to stay
And when he passed away he lost that whiskey battle
She wont ever forget the pain it put her through
As she watched him drink his last bottle

COURSE:
[He drank his whiskey while
she hid the booze
She died inside for years as the alcohol tore her lovers life apart
As he fought a whiskey battle]
