Mirror Mirror, on the wall
Why do you try to point out my flaws?
Is it because you want me to feel like
I am nothing at all?

Mirror Mirror, please be more clear
On why you make me want to shed a tear
Is it because you me wonder why
I am still standing here?

Mirror Mirror, you are no friend of mine
You make me feel like nothing all the time
You show me what others think of me
As if it's not already plain to see
You show me who I'm supposed to be

Mirror Mirror, show me what to do
So that I can measure up to people like you
You think you're nothing but perfect
So tell me why am I not too

Mirror Mirror, what is your strategy?
Is it to make me feel like nobody?
Well it must be working out
Because it's something that I believe

Mirror Mirror, you are no friend of mine
You make me feel like nothing all the time
You show me what others think of me
As if it's not already plain to see
You show me who I'm supposed to be

Mirror Mirror, this is the end
I no longer think of you as my friend
You used to tell me I was beautiful
When will you call me that again?

Mirror Mirror, I'm taking you down
I'm throwing you on the ground
I watch the glass shatter on the floor
You don't control me anymore

Mirror Mirror, you are no friend of mine
You make me feel like nothing all the time
You show me what others think of me
As if it's not already plain to see
You show me who I'm supposed to be

But Mirror Mirror, I'm already me

I have no personal connection to the the message behind this poem/song. I wrote it entirely while walking my dog. It does have a dramatic feel to it and I hope everyone who reads this can feel it too.
