Fireside Kisses

It is the merriest holiday in our worlds
In the passageway the cupboard holds
Decorations to be placed all around the halls
Before the tree is put up all green and tall

Sometimes I smile, sometimes I cry
Sometimes I lose hope of ever loving again
At times I laugh, at times I scream
At times I know that

In the midnight cold with beautiful stories told
The fireside kisses never last
Once the fire dies the kisses too
So hold on to your fireside kiss because it might be your last
Mummy put the tray down, Moses leave the mistletoe
I want to watch the fireside kisses, watch them burn

‘A beautiful life’ still makes me cry
Still I go though to bed with a sigh
Because I know that as much as I try
Movies and this can never entwine

Sometimes I yell, sometimes I am dull
Sometimes I want to break all their bodies
At times I wonder what they think
Now that I know that

In the midnight cold with beautiful stories told
The fireside kisses never last
Once the fire dies the kisses too
So hold on to your fireside kiss because it might be your last
Mummy put the tray down, Moses leave the mistletoe
I want to watch the fireside kisses, watch them burn

In the midnight cold with beautiful stories told
The fireside kisses never last
Once the fire dies the kisses too
So hold on to your fireside kiss because it might be your last
Mummy put the tray down, Moses leave the mistletoe
I want to watch the fireside kisses, watch them burn

Sleep in the day, celebrate at night
Because after all

In the midnight cold with beautiful stories told
The fireside kisses never last
Once the fire dies the kisses too
So hold on to your fireside kiss because it might be your last
Mummy put the tray down, Moses leave the mistletoe
I want to watch the fireside kisses, watch them burn
