"The world is round and the place which may seem like the end may also be only the beginning." -Ivy Baker Priest

We were called sisters
That's how it all started
Now you don't even
Act like a friend
Yeah, you left me hanging
Alone and unguarded
And that's how it came to an end
Hope, hope
Was scarced in those days when
You left me to face all the
Rain and the wind
But go ahead, tell 'em
I messed with your heart and
Tell them the stories
You bend

Cause I. Don't. Care.
I. Won't. Care.

Cause I'm free from
That me and from you
I love my new world-
Not the one you pinned me to
I can function fine with out you
Just don't come calling my name
You were scared
I'd leave you for a new life
But you left me for her and she's
Traveling the same path
When she makes new friends and
You've lost all that you have
Just don't come calling my name

While I loved you
You thought you could come back to
Our friendship when it was
Convenient for you
And that you could pretend
We weren't even friends in front of "cool kids"
And all the kids at school
I am
Independent and I made new friends
Who are
Better than you
Just don't say that I left you for anything
You know what you say
Isn't true

But I. Don't. Care.
I. Won't. Care

Cause I'm free from
That me and from you
I love my new world-
Not the one you pinned me to
I'll love my life with out you
Just don't come calling my name
You were scared
I'd leave you for a new life
But you left me for her and she's
riding the same tide
When she leaves you and
You're wondering why
Just don't come calling my name

Was it for the boys?
For the pretty little toys?
Or was it for wicked
Popularity?
Did you think of how
We're both laughing now
You're in the dark while we have
Clarity

I'm free from
That me and from you
I love my new world
My new friends, my new point of view
"Good luck" is all that I say to you
And don't come calling my name
You thought that I'd always be
There when you need me,
And when you don't
You can leave me
But I'm not gonna take it anymore...

When your senses crash down
And it hurts like it did in that
World you pinned me to...
Just don't come calling my name

The author's comments:
I had a best friend. And one day, I saw her with another group of people - "popular" kids - and went to say hi, and she ignored me. And our friendship fell apart over our 8th grade year. I was planning on going to a private high school, her a public one, and she said she started ignoring me and became friends with this other girl because she didn't want to have to lose me next year. But the other girl is going to the same school as me. She just wanted to be a part of the popular crowd, and now the popular girl is going to abandon her, and I don't want to hear what she has to say to me. It's too late to apologize.
