Untitled... So far

One day I was sitting there,
Reading from my book,
A sip from my iced coffee,
Showed me where to look,
Beneath that furrowed brow I saw,
A glitter in you eyes,
That glitter showed me one more thing,
And it sparked my surprise,

You gotta learn to love,
You gotta learn to care,
You gotta learn to fly,
Like superman in his underwear,

And then another time there was,
Book in my hand,
And as I opened up my book,
Pencil in my hand,
About to put my pencil down,
On a page of my book,
I felt a hand grab mine,
And then my body shook,

You gotta learn to love,
You gotta learn to care,
You gotta learn to fly,
Like superman in his underwear,

And that's what the shake told me,
Feeling insecure,
I'd heard that thought once before,
That made me look up,
I saw that furrowed brow again,
A glitter in your eyes,
Seep into the chair you did,
Right across from mine,

From dancing in the moonlight,
To dancing in the rain,
We cried together on the brightest sunny day,
And then you told me something to change my way,

You gotta learn to love,
You gotta learn to care,
You gotta learn to fly,
Like superman in his underwear,

You gotta learn to love,
You gotta learn to care,
You gotta learn to fly,
Like superman in his underwear
