"I won't justify the way I live my life, because I'm the one living it, breathing it, tasting it." - Shim Moore

Oh, his colorless eyes
they could surely disguise
the feelings he always wants to hide
And all the things he suppressed
He wishes he could confess
But it's all over, now you're just a mess

So I'll ask you one more time
Could you spare me, one last goodbye?

Now take me out to the end of your ally way
Show me again how it ended with a gun-sling
Tell me all the dark stories that will never ever fade away
Maybe I can fit into the narrow corners of your head
and stay there until I can get emotions instead

Oh, the look that you give
when you're disappointed
It doesn't help, when I'm breaking down
I wish I could just fall in love tonight
but I know that I must
look through the lips of lust

So I'll ask one more time
Could you please, stop the lies?

Now take me out to the end of your ally way
Show me again how it ended with a gun-sling
Tell me all the dark stories that will never ever fade away
Maybe I can fit into the narrow corners of your head
and stay there until I can get emotions instead

Maybe I'll listen to your filthy melodies
Maybe I'll pay attention to your constant tragedies
Only if your heart was open for anybody's
but it's not, so I can't ever say I loved you
And I didn't want to know...

Now take me out to the end of your ally way
Show me again how it ended with a gun-sling
Tell me all the dark stories that will never ever fade away
Maybe I can fit into the narrow corners of your head
and stay there until I can get emotions instead

If you put any drug in front of him
the addiction would be inspiring
but the last he'd ever want is love

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this after listening to the song 'I'll Find Mine' by Meg & Dia. It's about my best friend, who doubles as my ex-boyfriend. I always think about how it would be if we just stopped talking all together, but I could never live with that. The whole thing describes our current relationship.
