A dream to break my heart!

I once loved but i love no more
Ive been burnt and i fear loves scorch. but i still dream on a blue moon night of dancing at a ball and shining star bright and through the crowd my prince walks to me. he offers me his hand and a feeling comes over me. the world falls away and his touch is all i know and the look in his eyes with its magical glow. Though this night is the best in my life it all has to end at the stroke of midnight. the slipper falls away and i open my eyes to see the day and morning first light.
