Distraction

I don’t want the sun to rise
Don’t think I deserve to have it shine
After the night I had
Scrambling to erase the things
That have now become my past
The shameful ways I rid myself
Of all that seemed so hard to take
The way I don’t want to believe
My life could ever be okay

CHORUS
It’s all my actions
Could you give me a distraction?
From this crazy I’ve been painting
This isn’t how I planned it
Don’t wanna have it
Could you give me a distraction?
From this madness
I’ll be waiting…

I don’t want the moon to come
Nighttime falls; I’ll be ready to run
Seems the only thing left
Is myself and these four walls
With everything I regret
Forgetting to worry when I
Subconsciously knew it was wrong
That I was hurting everyone
I had pushed away all along

CHORUS

When I say
I can’t do this alone
Tell me I don’t have to
And that you’ll stay
Until I’m no longer afraid…

CHORUS
Of all of my actions
Could you give me a distraction?
From this crazy life’s so tainted
This isn’t how I planned it
Don’t wanna have it
Won’t you give me a distraction?
Give me a distraction
From this madness
I’ll be waiting…
For this misery to be fading…
I’ll be waiting…
