How Your Perfume Lingers

Feeling worthless here today
knowing that I was thrown away
caught in the middle by a breath
then dropped down to my death
found here, in the words I say
faded by a brand new day
paper floating down the street
what could this mean to me

I know I lost you
I know I need you
but you let go

caught in the middle of wright and wrong
singing now a sad sad song
about what is a sad sad life
from my back, you can take your knife
the problems that you create
you say that I now make
hold my hand and follow me
Ill never get an apology

I know I lost you
I know I need you
but you let go

walking by you say I'm fine
now you say you have more time
walk up, I turn my face
its so hard to walk away
emotions mixed in my heart
like a Vegas deck of cards
I bust and now I'm broke
I stood up just to choke

I know I lost you
I know I need you
but you let go

I don't want to be alone here
I don't want to fade away
I don't want to be alone here
I don't want to fade away

(I was wrapped around your finger)
(Why does your perfume linger)
(tears cannot be seen in the rain)
(Without you Ill go insane)

I know I lost you
(how can you say we are friends)
I know I need you
(this is how a story ends)
but you let go
but you let go
