It's All For You

I hate being, left alone with my emotions
I hate feeling, like you’re across an ocean
I hate dreaming, ‘cause none of it’s true
I hate sleeping, and waking up without you

But I love being, allowed so close to perfection
I love feeling, an ocean full of connections
I love dreaming, that you might love me too
I love sleeping, when I know tomorrow I’ll see you

Don’t you see, I have everything, when I have you, when I have you
Don’t you see, when you’re with me, there’s nothing I can do, nothing I can do
It’s a delicate line, the ends cut on both sides, but I need you, I need you
And I pray every night, that one of these times, you’ll feel something too, something too

I could lay down every reason
Until both of us were weakened
But what good would it do?
But what good would it do?
There’s nothing I can do.
Tell me what I should do.

I hate being, left alone with my emotions
I hate feeling, like you’re across an ocean
I love dreaming, that you might love me too
I love sleeping, when I know tomorrow I’ll see you

Don’t you see, I have everything, when I have you, when I have you
Don’t you see, when you’re with me, there’s nothing I can do, nothing I can do
It’s a delicate line, the ends cut on both sides, but I need you, I need you
And I pray every night, that one of these times, you’ll feel something too, ‘cause it’s all for you.
