"Our Deepest Fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure"

Once upon a time your looks were a Neon sign
The guys threw you a line in your prime, didn't they?
Best friend would call and would say
"Your new friends don't care about you at all"
You thought she was just joking with you
You used to hang about
The kids who thought that being popular
Was what life was all about
And now you don't walk so proud
And now you don't talk so loud
About all of the time that you have
With no friends to help you kill

How does it feel?
How does it feel?
To have no friends at all
To have no friends to call
Like complete outcast
Like a teenage stone

You still have the finest clothing Miss Lonely
And you still look so pretty in it
But nobody cares and now you have to get used to it
You said you'd never compromise
With the girl who wears too much mascara
Around her eyes
Cause you knew that one day
Her entire world would become still

How does it feel?
How does it feel?
To have no friends at all
To have no friends to call
Like a complete outcast
Like a teenage stone

Nobody has ever taught you how to be
The person that doesn't care about popularity
Cause they like to make you feel like you got it made
They know teenage royalty is hard to keep and easy to lose
The Miss Popularity picture will eventually fade
You used to laugh about
The kids who knew what life was all about
And now you don't walk so proud
And now you don't talk so loud
You have all of the time in the world
In a world that has become so still

How does it feel?
How does it feel?
To have no friends at all
To have no friends to call
Like a complete outcast
Like a teenage stone

Now go to your true friends and tell them
That you won't lose yourself again
They may say you got a lot of nerve
But prepare to feel the guilt of a warm quilt
That you don't even deserve
I hope you look into their eyes and realize
That they aren't selling any alibis
And I hope you laugh about
What you thought what life was all about
I hope you find freedom in having
No secrets to conceal

How does it feel?
How does it feel?
To have friends to call
To have friends to call
To not feel so alone
To not be a teenage stone

The author's comments:
I just thought it would be fun to do a cover for Bob Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone" only give it a teenage flavor:) Inspired to write it to send a message to those who feel like popularity is everything in high school when it really isn't. Also a message about knowing who your true friends are and not letting something as petty as social status get in between those friendships. Thanks for reading.
