You'll Always Wish

Wishing on a wishing star
Is just so damn hard
Doing it just for fun
You realize that you believe
Just a little bit
When it doesn’t come true
You die
Just a little bit

Sitting at your computer
Forwarding a chain on
Finger on the delete button
But then you stop
Just for that little chance
That this time it’ll be true
And he’ll step forward and say he
Loves you

But it never comes true
Never goes right
You’ll never learn as you
Sit in the night
Look up at the stars
And see one fly…
You’ll make a wish and
Die a little again

Sitting and staring
Wondering and watching
Thinking and dreaming
All you need
No matter how far
The real thing is
You’ll never get him out of your head
And when you see the clock
At 11:11
You’ll make a wish for him
Again

But it never comes true
Never goes right
You’ll never learn as you
Sit in the night
Look up at the stars
And see one fly…
You’ll make a wish and
Die a little again

Love spells
Potions
Charms
You know it’s just so hard
Whispered secrets and falling tears
All you want is him
My dear
You know it’s all in vain
But you can’t stop hoping
He treats you like nothing
Insists he cares about you
You know he doesn’t mean it
But you can’t stop believing it
You can dream that he means it

But it never comes true
Never goes right
You’ll never learn as you
Sit in the night
Look up at the stars
And see one fly…
You’ll make a wish and
Die a little again
It’ll never come true
Never go right
You’ll never learn as you
Sit in the night
Look up at the stars
And see one fly…
Maybe one day
You won’t make a wish
And that’s the day that
You’ll be dead inside

Warning: A tiny bit of swearing, general depression.
We've all been there. We insist we don't believe, but we can't help wishing, can't help hoping.
