The little girl in pictures, you once knew
Believed in fairy tales and dreams coming true
She thought her first kiss would be in the rain
What a shame
She turned out this way

The little girl in pigtails ran away
Dreaming of a day she’d escape this scary place
Her mother told her she’d be a star
She believed
She’d make it far

The little girl in pictures is growing up
Shooting to the sky and falling in love
Her first kiss was stolen in a rush
And her dreams,
She’s given up

I'm sorry I disappointed you again
I’m sorry it didn’t turn out the way we planned
I promise I’ll find the right way
And I’ll make you proud someday
