And now its all in the past,
and has nothing to do with me anymore,
you said it wouldn't be this way,
how could you know,
these lonely nights,
I wait in this light and pray,
to not only see a shining star,
but stay away from this lonely gray,
every time I play,
I pay for my mistakes,
why would I listen to a man,
when all I can do is trust you,
will I be able to,
no that was the last time,
but there was love,
and no one can say its not true,
but you,
so can I trust this feeling of lust,
and sink in your arms,
while I develop this emotional crust.

I was listening to some jazz and this started to form as a blues song. However, now that I have read it out of context, it sounds like a rap. I don't know; it was just what I was feeling at the time.
