"Love is merely a madness, and, I tell you, deserves as well a dark house and a whip as madmen do: and the reason why they are not so punished and cured is, that the lunacy is so ordinary that the whippers are in love too."

When time doesn’t stop,
My heart doesn’t still,
It is not love,
But it is real

I look into his eyes
Seeing that he is good for me
But he’s not the one on my mind
He’ll never know I love another

Maybe love is a fairytale
One that I will never know
So I’ll stay with who I think is right
And never let my feelings show

With his kiss, his poison touch
Nothing is there but passion and lust
But you can speak straight to my heart
It seems I’ve known this from the start

I look into his eyes
Seeing only my broken soul in their reflection
He will never be the one on my mind
This, right here, in my shattered perfection

Maybe love is a fairytale
One that I will never know
So I’ll stay with who I think is right
And never let my feelings show

Silent regrets are screaming softly in my head
But I refuse to let them break free
My tangled web of lies is holding thick and strong
In this story, am I the spider or the fly?

When I look into his eyes
I see my own turning blind
But neither of the two will ever understands
The terrible truth will never unwind

Maybe love is a fairytale
One that I will never know
So I’ll stay with who I think is right
And never let my feelings show

As my pen leaves the paper
My heart remains on the page
This shattered perfection will last forever
Until the blissful end of my days
