Nobody knows my name
Nobody hears me sing
Nobody listens to themselves
when they're talking about me
Nobody climbs the hill with me
Nobody wants to try
Nobody wants to photograph
the late October sky
Nobody knows my birthday
Nobody loves my style
Nobody says they like me
even for a little while
Nobody knows my name
or anything about me
I am the anonymous donor
The quiet watching patron
The clover in the thistle patch
The flower in the snow
Nobody hears me singing and
about me nothing know
