Do You Remember when kids were kids?
Getting dirty was playing out in the mud.
When girls had cooties
And boys were gross?
Co-ed was fine
Even at a sleep over.
Now that we’re older,
Preps are here
And jocks are there.
He’s a boy with many peers
She’s a girl obsessed with hair.
Bands have gone
From actual bands to teenage singers
Every corner is marked with drama.
She is crying
While he is playing
Sex and drugs are on their minds.
New relationships are always being drawn
Oh where, oh where has our childhood gone?
