I don’t believe in fairy tales anymore,
I’m not your naïve little girl anymore,
I’ve grown up,
I’ve learned the truth.

Happy ever afters don’t exist,
Their lies people tell so you have something to believe in,
But I’ve grown and I was set straight,
Unlike Romeo and Juliet,
We didn’t die together,
You followed way too late.

Cinderella got the man of her dreams,
Jasmine got the street rat hero,
Ariel got Prince Eric,
Even the beast got a beauty,
Snow white got her man and seven little dwarfs,
Sleeping beauty even got her perfect kiss,
But that was all fake,
Fairy tales are make believe,
Lies told to get the hopes up of little girl’s dreams.

Happy ever afters don’t exist,
Their lies people tell so you have something to believe in,
But I’ve grown and I was set straight,
Unlike Romeo and Juliet,
We didn’t die together,
You followed way too late.

I used to have something to believe in,
Followed my heart hope to die,
I used to dig the quote
“Its better to have lost then lost then never to have loved at all”
But that’s just bulls***,
I’d much rather have a heart of coal.

I won’t get the man of my dreams,
I don’t even know a street rat hero,
All Eric’s turn into a**holes,
I don’t know any pretty beast,
I don’t have any dwarfs near by,
Or a man to wake me from my slumber,
That’s the real world,
It’s my reality.

Happy ever afters don’t exist,
Their lies people tell so you have something to believe in,
But I’ve grown and I was set straight,
Unlike Romeo and Juliet,
We didn’t die together,
You followed way too late.

Unlike Romeo and Juliet,
You followed me to death way too late,
You were way too late,
Turn back time and make the date,
Don’t be too late.
