I Hate My Life

I walk down the hallways
And try to meet your gaze
You look away
It’s been a few days
Since I told you why we are this way

Maybe over the phone wasn’t the best approach
Maybe I need a love coach
That was the last time we spoke
Our relationship just went up in smoke

<Chorus>
I think about you all night
Your kissable lips, pretty eyes
But you don’t think in the same light
Oh, I hate my life

All I said was I love you
And if only you loved me too
Then we would be fine
I’d be yours and you’d be mine

You walk with her, side by side
I saw that and a piece of me died
I go to the bathroom and sit and cry
Oh, why me God? Why?

<Chorus>
I think about you all night
Your kissable lips, pretty eyes
But you don’t think in the same light
Oh, I hate my life

I got up the nerve and brush away tears
I hope things don’t get to weird
I go up and say to your face:
I guess people can really change
And the ways of love are strange
And on that note I walk away

You look startled, and quite confused
Your chic friend, though, looks bemused
You decide: Hey! Today’s the day
You push her gently away
You run to me
Brush me of my feet
And we kiss
Yeah, I believe I could live with this

<Chorus>
I think about you all night
Your kissable lips, pretty eyes
And you do think in the same light
Oh, I love my life!
