"I hate to write, but I love to have written."
"'Sh! Guys. my mom's on the phone!' Guy in the back of the crowd: 'Pass the weed!'"

"Crying does not show weakness. Since birth, it's been the only sign that we are alive."

Nearest stellar nation
Reach out for the
Dearest constellation.
Draw your party
Atmosphere
The brave still have fear
Just keep this in your mind. . .
And rhymes become
Shadow in the time.
Metropolitan daybreak
The country's gloom
Smile at the solar
Illuminated moon.
And now memories
Foreshadow in your mind. . .
Silence is
The only hue of true
As the brightest blacks
Convert to blue.
In the evening city light
When the moon rise just right
Inaudible stammers
On your goodnights. . .
The children dwindle
In the road
As the shades
Cross to gold
Inaudible
Goodnights. . .
The stretch of shadow
Cast upon the bay
Now it's twilight
And no more day
Inaudible
Goodnights.
And now midnight love
Is beacon of the dark
Catch the moon
Like blood attracts the shark.
Luminate our life
Dicipate the strife
Innaudible stammers
Of goodnights. . .
In the morning
When it's done
Think back to
Uninterpiratable dialect
And where the moon once rose
Now does so the sun
Rejoice that the sun
Has reserect
You're not insane
Not the only one
It's just the sense
Of the evening
Effect.
Cast down your arms
To the floor
Forget the rich
Forget the poor.
Rise your hands to Jesus
In their pair of two
Praise halelujah to God
Condescending you.
This is your lover's
Time to hold
In the presence of night
As it unfolds.
Inaudible stammers of
Your own
Goodnights.
In the morning
When it's done
Think back to
Unenterpiratable dialect
And where the mooon once rose
Now does so the sun
Rejoice that the sun
Has reserect
You're not insane
Not the only one
It's just the sense
Of the evening
Effect. . .
I will say
Goodnight. . .
I will ssy
Goodnight.

If there was a "nature" theme available to describe this poem, I would have chosen that, too. I'm also a singer, in my band Helix, so this is just one of the slower songs. (It sounds a lot better when sung, incidentally.)
