"To take the madness out of love will leave you standing there with nothing."

Now every cloud may have a silver lining,
But I can’t see this one at all.
The lights are off, my eyelids are closed,
And I guess it has gotten too small.

Now every rose, has its own thorn
Oh, I’ve witnessed this firsthand.
You were beautiful, but you needed someone,
And I guess I wasn’t that man.

When eating chocolates you don’t know what you’ll get.
Life’s a lot like that, but we can’t throw a fit.

So I will run I will finish my race.
I’ve ran half my marathon, just playing chase.
It’s time to move on, take the lead, and live for myself.
Too bad, I know getting there will take some help.
My legs are sore, my lungs they are burning,
But it’s time to get this wheel of life turning.

Now every storm here has its rainbow.
But I don’t think that this is true.
When every door is closed, a new one is open.
But behind each one is a picture of you.

When eating chocolates you don’t know what you’ll get.
Life is simple; *** is flying, try to not get hit.

Oh, I will run and never look back
Put my eyes on the prize, and that will be that.
I’ll come in first, no questions asked.
From now on I’m happy, all sadness is masked.

My legs are sore, my lungs they are burning,
But it’s time to get this wheel of life turning.

As all great writers do, I wrote from personal experience. Finding love at a young age is tough, but losing that love is even tougher.
