"Our Deepest Fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure"

you were an ocean
looking for a lonely shore
but then somehow
you weren't anymore
you had the key to the door
so what were you waiting for
my tears would fall to the floor
i waited so long
i could not wait anymore
i said, just swallow the key
cause ive been down this road before
i've been hurt down to the core
i don't want to feel that way anymore

i am a shore without a tide
i am a feeling you must hide
i am someone who deep inside
just wants to listen
to the sound of the ocean
even if i know the ocean
will never rescue me

come and rescue me

for i am a footprint of my past
wash me away
into a brighter day
wash away the pain at last
create the sound of what life
used to mean to me
remind me of who i used to be
keep me cured of insanity
give me the strength i need
to once again love all of me

you aren't anymore
you had the key to the door

be the beacon of light
that pierces the thick of night
lead me back on home
don't be the fog don't swallow me
don't let me close my eyes
and count to three
because when they open
they will open to
what life will mean to me

come and rescue me

The author's comments:
I was inspired by the feeling of despair, need for desperate action for someone to come and rescue me from my own slipping refuge. My heart has been broken in the past and in the beginning the song stresses that, but towards the end it realizes that I still needs that one person, for that one person is my only hope.

Remember your Creator
in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
and the years approach when you will say,
\"I find no pleasure in them\"- \"

I really love this :]

Fits my life perfectly at the moment
