I wake up, close my eyes and
Pull the sheets back over my head
I’m not waking up to all your lies again
Remember how we used to talk on and on for days
But your lies have run out and there’s nothing left to say

I know I’ll miss you
But it’s time for you to go
It’s getting late now and I think you should go home
I might regret this now, but really you can’t stay
I know I’ll miss you,
But we’re better off this way
It’s better off this way

We’re on the porch, apologize
One last kiss on my forehead, say goodbye,
I realize, am I strong enough for this?
Remember how we used to laugh and wish on falling stars
But I’ve gotta let you go now, because my wishes turned to scars

I know I’ll miss you
But it’s time for you to go
Did you really love me?
I guess I’ll never know
I might regret this now, but really you can’t stay
I know I’ll miss you,
But we’re better off this way

So I take a step back, look in your eyes
See all girls that you’ve made cry
I’ll take a deep breath and let you go

I know I’ll miss you
But it’s time for you to go
It’s getting late now and I think you should go home
I might regret this now, but you really you can’t stay
I know I’ll miss you,
Yeah I’ll miss you
But we’re better off this way

This is for anyone who's ever had someone who takes advantage of them. When you know it and you can see it but you can't walk away from it.
