"If we bottled your luck, we'd have a weapon of mass destruction on our hands!"-Edward, from Stephenie Meyer's 'Twilight' Saga

Shining mist and broken glass,
I lay here in our forgotten past.
Blackened roses and patched hearts
So close now, so far apart
The ceiling fades out of sight,
The dull moon feels so bright.
Cold breezes brushing my skin,
Takes me back to you again.

Memories.
When it was you and me.
Forgotten.
Lost like a ship at sea.
I can’t stand it,
You’re smell is so sweet.
Cherry lime and sweet tea.

Your hand brushes my hair,
I’m ready to kiss you right here.
Black suit with that clip on tie
Tempting me to ask why.
Why do you have to attract me
When danger is here, obviously
Gelled hair and bright eyes,
Easily an innocent disguise
If only I’d have seen it then

Shining mist and broken glass,
I lay here in our forgotten past.
Blackened roses and patched hearts
So close now, so far apart
The ceiling fades out of sight,
The dull moon feels so bright.
Cold breezes brushing my skin,
Takes me back to you again.

Soft hands and a hard head,
You take insults with you to bed.
Empty heart and a glamorous smile,
Best one I’d seen in a while.
It’s impossible to not notice it,
Impossible not to fall for you.
No human should hurt this way.

Jagged scars cover your arms,
I never questioned their harm
Some story belonged to them,
If I’d have known, I’d have left.

Shining mist and broken glass,
I lay here in our forgotten past.
Blackened roses and patched hearts
So close now, so far apart
The ceiling fades out of sight,
The dull moon feels so bright.
Cold breezes brushing my skin,
Takes me back to you again.

Your cold arms pull me back,
Into the darkness,
Into the black.
How many women you’ve had,
I should have questioned with my chance.
But you suffocate my heart,
Leave me gasping for air.
You’d kill me, but were apart
And now I’m left with nowhere
No history.
No memories
Just a mask,
Covering our broken past.

Shining mist and broken glass,
I lay here in our forgotten past.
Blackened roses and patched hearts
So close now, so far apart
The ceiling fades out of sight,
The dull moon feels so bright.
Cold breezes brushing my skin,
Takes me back to you again.

life isn't about making it through the storm; it is about dancing in the rain
