CHORUS
I thought that I left you behind
But you came back for a second time
I thought that I gave you away
But I guess you came back the other day
Back for a second helping

VERSE
When you left me there all alone
I did not cry, I did not moan
I thought I could go and soldier on
But there must be something wrong

My preoccupations turned away
And I really thought I could say
That I was free from your control
But once again you haunt my soul

It would have been easier if you said yes
Then I wouldn't have to second guess
We could have been playing house
Instead of playing cat and mouse

CHORUS
I thought that I left you behind
But you came back for a second time
I thought that I gave you away
But I guess you came back the other day
Back for a second helping

VERSE
Now I'm writing yet another song
I thought I was done, I thought it was gone
But now I'm affected by my mind's abuse
How the hell did you become my muse

If you hear this song you know it's for you
I want you to know, i don't know what to do
You don't even know it's an encore
But the crowd in myself is wanting more

So why don't you come on and take center stage
Cause it seems that my heart's in a cage
Yes or no, my soul will be free and fine
Spreading its wings until the next time

CHORUS
I thought that I left you behind
But you came back for a second time
I thought that I gave you away
But I guess you came back the other day
Back for a second helping

I had a crush on this girl until she rejected me. I thought I was fine until recently, when I started to think about her more and more. I just want it to end one way or another.
