Love Is Lost

January 14, 2010
As she lays on here mattress with a single tear resting on her cheek,
She smells of cigarettes and wasted dreams,
wandering off into thought,
as her entire city sleeps.

So let's not waste tomorrow like moments often waste away,
and let's remember love as love oce was,
but still embrace the brand new day,
and as ashes turn from burning red to the color of fading gray,
you come to realize that red turned to gray,
is stil a color, all the same.

This is how it's meant to be.

As she lays on here mattress with a single tear resting on her cheek,
She smells of cigarettes and wasted dreams,
wandering off into thought,
as her entire city sleeps.

The sun and moon are switching rolls,
and as you plead, she'll hold you tight,
She stands here now to sympathize and help you through the painful night.
As you force to speak the choked words and you prevailing cries,
a hushed lull rings out,
under the sleeping sky.

This is how it's meant to be.

As she lays on here mattress with a single tear resting on her cheek,
She smells of cigarettes and wasted dreams,
wandering off into thought,
as her entire city sleeps.

Through the night, your heart will heal,
Along will all the pain you feel,
There's time for breath, time to breath.
I'm still breathing, keep breathing please.

As she lays on here mattress with a single tear resting on her cheek,
She smells of cigarettes and wasted dreams,
wandering off into thought,
as her entire city sleeps.

This is how it's meant to be.
