(Chorus)

Don’t you see the tensions rising?
Don’t you hear the rebel beat?
Don’t you see the plans devising?
It’s another teenage riot on Main Street

It’s another day in the teenage revolution
We’re sick and tired off being put down
This soundtrack’s our audio constitution
Our teenage anthem tearing down the town

(Verse)

Started when we were told we were to young
That we would breakdown if turned loose
Well, you should’ve held your tongue
Cause you just tightened the noose

And they tell us that we can’t have a say
We can’t do this or we can’t do that
But we seem to listen to morons everyday
Give us false info with a tip of the hat

When we get our morals from the internet
And our news from comedians at night
There’s ignorance around I can bet
Stupidity is giving me such a fright

And we just want to have a beer
If you don’t we will just get pissed
Because we have to fight for years
If not we have to make a grocery list

What about the good old times
When we don’t have to be afraid
In which all we needed was a rhyme
And we wanted was to get paid

And yet here we are too tired to think
Too worried about the stupid manatees
Too much information we are on the brink
About to cross the line into insanity

So now we’re going to tear it up
Tear down the very institutions
That were suppose to fill our cups
To give us all of our solutions
Leading the army is the boss in front
Lined up with riot shields and pellet guns
It’s such a shame a loss of a hunt
I guess its time to send the unfortunate sons

A punk rock anthem on the intercom
Burning down the asylums with our minds
Disorder caused by an adolescent nafta bomb
This is truly a new era of the times

Standing together for once and for all
Taking over the offices no more suit and tie
The new headquarters becomes the town hall
Conformity crashes and we hear the sigh

Everyone join in our little celebration
Know it’s not you but your ideas that’s our foe
Someday we will be united as a nation
And we will break down the status quo

(Chorus)

Don’t you see the tensions rising?
Don’t you hear the rebel beat?
Don’t you see the plans devising?
It’s another teenage riot on Main Street

It’s another day in the teenage revolution
We’re sick and tired off being put down
This soundtrack’s our audio constitution

I wanted to make a intelligent teenage anthem. Enough said.

I am more interested in what you have to say.

This is great! I imagine it would sound even better in a punk rock song.
