Everyone fell down,
What was going down, down?
Nobody had a clue.
No one knew what to do.

The sky turned hesitant
I turned maleficent
You turned magnificent
Standing in the shadow of the sun.

And tomorrow wasn't over yet
But we started to forget
Everything we thought we had
And tomorrow seemed like way too soon.

And everything was over our heads
As we didn't understand why weren't still dead,
We were alive inside like we always surmised
But we never thought it'd end up like this.

Oh the sky turned hesitant
I turned maleficent
You turned magnificent
Standing in the shadow of the sun.

And the moon turned to the color of the day
Which was blue all the way through,
And even though daytime was still the right time
The moon shone beautifully through.

And the sky turned magnificent
I turned beneficent
And you looked down at the ground,
'Cos the moonlight didn't have a shadow like the sun
And you started to feel a shroud...

Of guilt overcome you
Light lose its touch with you,
Your beauty seemed to fall too short
Of the goal you had set last night...

But just as your tear hit the floor
I could hear, in the darkness, a very loud sound
It was the sun screaming out
I'll be back in the morning
Don't forget that now.

And my girl, she smiled
And lit up the entire
World as I knew it then,
And we kissed and dismissed the idea
That something'd go wrong,
And for her I'm singing this song,
And for her I'm singing this song!
