There you stand alone, I know
Things aren't easy, its hard to cope,
When you lose someone that you hold close,
But please don't tell yourself that you've lost
Anything and everything, 'cos you've not...

I promised you I'd always be there
I promised you I'd keep you safe
And now even in the midst of a crisis
I won't let my promise break,
No I won't let my promise break!

I told you that you would never fear
I told you that you would never cry,
Well honestly, what I told was a lie
And I regret ever saying that, and I
Will do whatever it takes to minimize your pain...

Oh there you stand alone, I know
Things aren't easy, its hard to cope,
When you lose someone that you hold close,
But please don't tell yourself that you've lost
Anything and everything, 'cos you've not...

I won't let you fall apart,
I'm here now and I won't leave;
I can't say that things are great,
But I can say they won't get worse,
Because I know how much it hurts...

And pain like that does not increase
It heals in time, comfortably.
Just let me hold your heart
And let me wipe away your tears,
Just let me scare away your fears...

There you stand alone, I know
Things aren't easy, its hard to cope,
When you lose someone that you hold close,
But please don't tell yourself that you've lost
Anything and everything, 'cos you've not...

I'm here now and here I'll stay
You won't be alone, no need to be afraid
I'm here now and I won't leave
I'm here for you; oh you will see
Things aren't as bad as they seem...

Things will get better in time, I swear
Things will get better, I care, I care!
Things will get better, I swear, I swear!
I will do whatever it takes
To help you through your misery!

'Cos I'm here now and here I'll stay
You won't be alone, no need to be afraid
I'm here now and I won't leave
I'm here for you; oh you will see
Things aren't as bad as they seem!
