"Fine"

Its only been four days,
I’m already head over heels.
And we’re pushing yet another long awaited morning
I’m ecstatic, extremely excited, emotionally vulnerable
I’m nervous, and anxiously awaiting
The anxiety kills, as my heart begins fading

And for the first time, in a long time
I feel
Fine.

I shuffle by so quickly, and convincingly
With an act so falsely prepared, so calculated and cunningly conceived
I can’t stop this smile, I cant stop it, no. There’s no chance of stopping me now.
I couldn’t stop this smile from spreading
If I wanted too.

And for the first time, in a long time
I feel
Fine.

I’m on my own now, but I’ve never felt so initially in place
So put together, so constructed
No longer connected by glue, I’m stuck
Stuck
on you.
And I’ve already struck out on one,
One or two
I cant fight this, I cant fight this, I cant fight this.
I couldn’t fight against this force; the battle my heart was destined to start

And for the first time, in a long time
I feel
Fine.

Oh, I’ve moved on. No doubt, no falsely faltering question in mind.
I’m so glad, no- blissfully delighted
This world, this new world, this brand new world
It’s an entire unfamiliar place just waiting
Waiting to be analyzed
By this bright new pair of eager eyes
I love it, I love this, I absolutely love it
You’ve got my heart paralyzed

And for the first time, in a long time
I feel
Fine.
