I'd do anything to make you safe.
Seeping through, dripping wet
My shoulders are drenched with your tears.
It's all yours though, if you want it.
For every gasp that you take
My heart cracks just a little more.
For every time you say my name
I take one step forward and another three back.

Please don't say you're done for.
How can I fix you when I'm broken myself?
I'd meet you on the other side
But if only you can wait till I feel whole again.

It's unfair to ask you to wait
For the fact I don't know who I am.
I'm trying my best to fight till the end
But it's so hard when I'm burning up reserve.

I know your hurting
So am I, all I need's a little time.
I'll bleed at night if that's what it takes
To make you smile during the day.

Please don't say you're done for.
How can I fix you when I'm broken myself?
I'd meet you on the other side
But if only you can wait till I feel whole again.

I'm screaming to you
But you can't hear me.
I'm screaming at you
You just won't listen.
I'm giving you my all
Though I have nothing left.
I started with nothing
But a page and a pen.

Please don't say you're done for
How can I fix you when I'm broken myself?
I'd meet you on the other side
But if only you can wait till I feel whole again

Please don't say you're done for
How can I fix you when I'm broken myself?
I'd meet you on the other side
But if only you can wait till I feel whole again

Seeping through, dripping wet
My shoulders are drenched with your tears
It's all yours though, if you want it
I'd give anything to make you feel safe

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece after a fight with someone who I loved very dearly. I hope that others will see it and learn to say what they have to say before losing someone dear.
