Broken Promises

August 25, 2015
By Anonymous

As the days drag by,

I wish I could fly.

I hate this prison cell,

My never ending, living Hell.

WIshing I could take wing,

But to the ground, my feet still cling.

Stuck in this world,

A cold lonely girl.

Lost and alone,

Her heart holds no tone.

Stranded into her fear,

Wishing someone would hear.

With her broken heart,

Promises fall apart.

The blade sinks in,

Deep into her skin.

Her blood pours out,

But she does not shout.

It's what she pleads for.

Desires nothing more...

The author's comments:

I used to cut, until I met someone I began to care alot for. He made me promise to stop, pinky promise. I never break a pinky promise. But My whole world crashed down around me when he walked away. When he did, He took all his promises with him..

I'm sorry that happened to you. It's happened to me too, and I know it hurts, but you're gonna be okay.
