You piece of concrete
You pile of stone
You've no emotion
You have no soul
I try to break through
Your concrete layers
But you're solid as rock
You're hard as nails
You must have a soft spot
Something to break
Show an ounce of empathy
Please, for my sake
You must have a nerve
Something to hit home
Something that rattles through your bones
You're made of the hardest
Your core is diamond
Lined in concrete
A shell of iron
No emotion, no sympathy
Forged in hell's fires
You're hard and you're tough and you're lined in barbed wire
Are you all this hard
Or is this just you
You push me away when I try to break though
I though I could stir you
Find something that's soft
I dig and I dig
But find more and more rock
You're walking away now
You've crushed me to bits
The weight of the soulless you; I can't lift
The game is up and I've reached a dead end
I guess I can't cut through a diamond.
