Eyelids droop
Heads drop
Waiting waiting
For it to stop.

Pencils
Tap
Fingers
Snap
New found drummers
Just won't quit
Droning teacher's
"Sparkling wit".

Papers
Rip
Books
Tip
Falling tumbling
Going down
Dull faces
Teacher's frown.

Binders
Crunch
Students
Munch
Attention lost
Was never there
Chins in hands
No one cares.

Bell
Rings
Brightly
Dings
Chairs scrape back
Voices chime
Out of class
In record time.
