Strangers

Strangers;
That’s all we are when we’re not alone
The place I thought I knew so well
The place that I call home
It vanishes as soon as others come our way
And the place where we shared our lives
Seems so far away.

Strangers;
Two people who don’t know of one another
But I thought that we were different
You always were a brother
Yet, when other people come into the scene
Our connection loses it’s meaning
And all that was once sacred and serene

Strangers;
I hate it, but that’s what we always become
Ignorant and dry
We separate back into two instead of one
Once a part so big of me, but now ripped apart
Our bond is torn and broken
Just like the bits of my bleeding heart.
