I have a pet Potato, it doesn't do a lot.
Just puts out lots of roots, sitting in a pot.

I think it is pretty, most others; they are mean.
The hate the winkled brown, and ignore the green.

I found it in the bag one day, with a little growing eye.
My mother said it wouldn't live, but clearly that's a lie.

I put it on my dresser, with other oddities.
Fossils, wood, fun rocks, and a few dead bees.

For now it sits there growing, it's bigger every day.
I think it is beautiful, no matter what you say.

I've seen lots of potatoes, When they are all grown,

and so, of course, I went to plant a potato of my own.

I researched 'bout potatoes, and this is what I learnt;
you chop of a small piece, and put it in some dirt.

then I put it in my window, so it could get some light,
I also gave it water and love, I tried to do it right.

It started to grow quickly, much faster than I thought,
And soon it might outgrow the little plastic pot.

and now there are no critics, 'its pretty,' they all say,
all just because someone cared on that fateful day.I've seen lots of potatoes, When they are all grown,

This is a really cool limerick. I like how there are no critics in the end because the plant is beautiful. Please comment on some of my work.
