I wonder why no one reacted to his call
But no one could hear him
No one at all
His screams flowed through the city
But no one noticed
No one took pity
I tried to go to him
I followed his pleading
Scared he was hurt,
Dying'
Bleeding.
Sweat trickled down my back and soaked my hair
But when I reached him
No one was there
