Summer stars are more than just light
But always the city's too bright
To see how they blaze
Glitter, twist, wink, always--
But never more than on this very night.

The author's comments:
Looking at the stars is always a surreal experience for me, especially when I am at my cabin in Idaho. I wrote this poem as the stars looked like magic above me, like fireworks, like mystery.
