Broken Mirror

With you my heart is whole.
With love it is full…
Yet if you were to leave my life,
It would be full of painful strife…
My heart wouldn’t be whole,
It would only be a pile of broken pieces…
Broken like a mirror,
And as they say it is best to leave a mirror broken…
So if you leave I will stay broken,
And my pain will remain unspoken.
It may repair…
But it won’t if you aren’t here,
It will just be broken…
Like the mirror.
