Rain Haiku

The rain water drips
In big drip drip dripping drops
down the walls in sheets
Like washes of blood
or like tears in children’s eyes
or like life rushing
Rushing on and on
But maybe rain doesn’t fall
Instead throws itself
Into the great void
as it comes down upon us
laughing at it all
