Beauty I came to
see, was beautiful only
because he said 'twas.

When I see the world
I see to often through eyes
that are not my own.

The author's comments:
One day with the aid of my friend Mckay the thought struck me that whatever we see in the world we see through the eyes of those who introduce us to it. Mostly. May that be our parents or friends or anybody else. And if the person sees the thing with love and adores it enough we would see it as utterly fascinating too.

JUSTIN! THANK YOU SO FRICKIN MUCH. That comment just made me so happy. SO MUCH. Okay, don't mind my excessive capitalization. It is a trait of my informal writing that refuses to let me be. and wow I really can't wait to read what you have to say on this. Already excited! And hey, I have some new stuff coming on soon. Already submitted so do read! Love, Saphira.

Hi! I really like this cute little poem, first of all. And second of all, I noticed on your page that it said one of your favorite actors was Jensen Ackles. Do you watch the show Supernatural?! Or have you just seen him in some movies? I'm like, in love with that man and I'm glad someone else likes him!

Thank You Thank You Thank You EM! Love you so much. And that is EXACTLY how it is with those pictures. It annoys me so much when I can't even find one with the keyword ahhaaha then I just choose a random picture. AND Thank You for your feedback on my Haiku.

WOW! It's been a while since i read your work and im still loving it! I think this is a really great poem, verrrry true. Not only are we introduced to the things we love through others eyes but also the things we hate and thats how jugement usually starts. Great, thoughtful, provoking! Keep rocking and writing girl. <3 Liv!

I love this poem! Haikus are so beautiful when the author makes them mean something (as is most certainly the case here). And that picture keeps drawing my eyes. My writings are basically my babies and I always wind up antagonizing over finding the perfect picture, but it looks like you really got lucky with this one. :D
