Sounds Of Night

The time after dusk
When everything is quiet
You can hear the night

The stars twinkling
The footsteps of the people
The breeze in the wind

The rain as it falls
The barks of the dogs next door
The birds as they call

You just close you eyes
On a very quiet night
Hear the sounds of the night

. . . I really can relate to these haikus, for I have been out after dusk. Where it is silent and peaceful, no where to go, no plans. Where the streets are only lit by stars and the moon. Also I am estatic to see that someone else cares to hear the silent sounds of the fringe . . . Great poems.
