"Why worry bout the storm when you could go out and dance barefoot in the rain?"

Zero room to think
Yellow walls cave in on me
X amount of space

Walking through my pain
Verging on insanity
Unsure where to go

Taking in small breaths
Sanity losing its grip
Running out of time

Quietly drifting
Patience escaping forever
Openly broken

Never be the same
Menacingly been destroyed
Lying in sorrows

Knowing i am lost
Jarring the thoughts in my mind
Invisible me

Here all alone now
Gently letting my soul die
Forgetting my life

Everyone has gone
Disaster left me alone
Calling what has vanished

Battling myself
Allowing death to win me
Zero room to live

The author's comments:
this piece was inspired by my freshman year english teacher.. she told us to write in our daily journal and each line we wrote had to be next letter in the alphabet.. when i wrote this i thought it would be cool to do the alphabet backwards but i also did each stanza in a haiku.. I hope people get this that good poems are simple to write if you work at it. and from the poem its self, i deticate it to my grandmother.. who lost her mind during her final battle with cancer.. this is what i believe she went through..
