Easing into night

the sun is fading quicker

night approaches fast

The air is biting,

freezing; birds are fleeing south

escaping the change

Winter cold and grey

piercing deep into the core

no escaping yet

Passing till midnight

glowing moon and shining stars

keep me company

Cloudy days, snowed-in

sparks of white kiss me coldly

loneliness rests here.
