Tired, Worn
Tired, worn
Stripped like an old screw
But still used
To keep the screws purpose
You use it when it begs to be free
All the while chanting from a seat above,
“At least it’s not me”
The screw begs for an eternity
You hear your name called and you run quickly
The seat left bare
Sprinting back to your seat you find the screw has found its place
The seat accepting of the useless scrap
Screaming, thrusting the screw back into its pit
And claiming your seat
The screw begs for an eternity
The seat creaks
